    AILET Answer Key 2024: Tie-breaking criteria

    Whenever two or more candidates score the same overall score, their ranks will be decided based on the tie-breaking criteria, which is as elaborated here:

    1. The candidate scoring higher marks in the Legal Reasoning section will be given a higher rank.
    2. If the tie still persists, the candidate who is older in age will be given a higher rank.
    3. Even if the tie is not resolved, then the ranks will be decided by a computerized draw of lots.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Will ranks be declared with result?

    Yes, the ranks of all candidates who appeared for AILET 2024 irrespective of whether they get positive or negative marks will be assigned a rank. These ranks will be based on the raw marks of the candidates and the tie-breaking criteria.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Will result be released in terms of percentile?

    Percentile calculation or the normalization of marks is done for multi-shift examinations in order to evaluate all candidates on the same level irrespective of the differences in difficulty levels of the shifts. However as AILET is a single-shift examination, percentile calculation will not be done and the result will be declared in terms of the direct raw marks of the candidates.

    NLU Delhi has not officially declared the date to release the provisional answer key. Based on the previous years' timeline, the answer key is usually released a day after the examination, hence, AILET 2024 answer key is expected to be released tomorrow, December 11, 2023.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Is there a qualifying cutoff?

    There is no qualifying cutoff for AILET 2024 exam in terms of marks. All candidates who appear for the examination will be assigned a rank by the conducting authority based on their marks in the exam. However, all candidates will not be eligible to register for the counselling process. A separate merit list will be prepared and only those candidates will be invited for the NLU Delhi counselling. Hence, if AILET qualifying cutoff is to be stated, it will be in terms of ranks instead of marks.

    A fee of Rs 500/- per objection is to be paid online, be it on the question paper or on the answer key. If the objection is found to be correct, then the objection fee will be remitted to the candidate.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Steps to submit objections

    The following are the steps to submit objections against AILET provisional answer key 2024:

    1. Go to the official website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in
    2. Login to your AILET account and click on View Objections.
    3. Click on the Submit Objection button.
    4. Select the type of objection
      i. About the question
      OR ii. About the answer key.
    5. Enter objection details and click on Submit Objection.
    6. Once all your objections are submitted, click on the Make Payment button to make payment to finalize the same.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Objections against provisional key

    As the answer key released tomorrow is preliminary or provisional in nature, objections against it can be submitted to the conducting authority. Also, if the candidate thinks there is an error in the question, objections against the question paper can be submitted as well. The expert committee at NLU Delhi will then go through these objections and if valid, the corrected changes will be incorporated in the final AILET 2024 answer key. The result will be based on the final answer key instead of the provisional key.

    The official answer key is expected to be released tomorrow, December 11, 2023. The expected time for the release of AILET 2024 answer key is around noon. Do note that this answer key will be provisional in nature and will be subject to receiving objections against it.

    Each correct answer gives 1 mark and each incorrect answer deducts 0.25 marks. Hence, by referring to AILET 2024 answer key, the marks can be calculated as:

    The highlights of the student reviews on AILET 2024 exam are as follows:

    • As per the initial reviews, the paper was of a Moderate difficulty level. 
    • Students expressed that the increased time this year made the examination easier as well.
    • There were 5 to 6 legal questions in the Logical Reasoning section. There were questions from Syllogism and Statements as well.
    • The question paper pattern was similar more to that of 2022 than that of 2023.
    • While the expected number of good attempts will soon be updated, many candidates have attempted between 110 to 130 questions in AILET 2024.

    AILET 2024 has successfully concluded across the country. Around 15,000 students have registered for the examination this year to compete for the 110 seats available at NLU Delhi under BA LLB (Hons) course.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Allocation of ranks

    For the allocation of ranks, the raw marks of the candidates will not be converted to percentiles. The ranks will directly be assigned based on the overall marks of the candidates. Whenever two or more candidates score the same overall marks, then the candidate with higher marks in the logical reasoning section will be given a higher rank. If the marks are the same still, then the candidate older in age will be given a higher rank. If the rank is still the same, then a computerized lot will be drawn to decide rankings.

The candidate will have to fill in all OMR details within this duration.

    Other than admit card and original valid ID proof, the PwD candidates shall carry their PwD and scribe certificates as well. The candidates whose names have been changed due to marriage or otherwise and the same is not yet updated in the ID proof, then such candidates must carry their marriage certificate or other document detailing the name change as original documents at the examination centre.

    The most important section in AILET 2024 question paper is the Logical Reasoning section. First, it holds the highest weightage at 70 marks. Second, logical reasoning marks will be given priority to assign the final rankings wherever two or more candidates score the same overall marks.

    The candidates are required to check all the pages and questions in their AILET 2024 Question Booklet before starting to mark the answers.     AILET Answer Key 2024: Photo ID must be original

    While the admit card is required in print/Xerox, the photo ID proof such as an Aadhar card, PAN card, voter's card, or driving license must be original. A Xerox copy of the same will not be considered. Furthermore, the photo ID proof must also be valid on the exam day e.g., entry based on an expired original driving license will not be permitted.

    The reporting at the examination centre begins in one hour at 10 AM. At the gate, the admit cards and photo ID proofs will be checked and afterwards, at 10:30 AM, entry to the examination hall will be given.

    The candidates are not permitted to carry any communication devices like their mobile phones or any other electronic gadgets like digital watches, Bluetooth, earphones, pagers, health bands, calculators, etc. inside the examination hall.     When compared with the previous years, it is expected that AILET 2024 will be easier to solve, owing that a duration of 30 minutes has been extended from this year onwards. Earlier until 2023, the exam duration was 90 minutes for the same 150 questions. Hence, although the difficulty level of the questions will remain the same, the extended duration will help candidates solve the paper better.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Changed test centre instructions

    Post the change in the test centre, the NLU Delhi has released the revised admit cards for the same. The candidates who were allotted Lilawati Vidya Mandir as their exam centre must download a fresh admit card to reflect the test centre change. The revised admit card must be brought to the new examination centre. Entry based on the old admit card will not be permitted.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Admit card instructions

    • Although the admit cards for AILET 2024 are issued online, entry inside the examination centre will not be permitted based on its soft copy.
    • The admit card must be printed and duly filled in before presenting at the exam centre.
    • If there is any discrepancy in the admit card, it shall be conveyed beforehand to NLU Delhi helpline centre and the same shall also be conveyed to the invigilator at the centre.

    The admit card will be available for download at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in until 11 AM today, December 10. Afterwards, the admit card link will be deactivated from the website.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Carbon copy instructions

    A carbon copy paper for the OMR sheet will be attached to it. Candidates must not remove the carbon copy page before the examination. Only when the OMR sheet is to be submitted shall the carbon copy be detached and kept with the candidate for future reference.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Important OMR sheet instructions

    • Under no circumstance shall the candidate fold, wrinkle, tear or staple the OMR response sheet.
    • No markings other than the required details and darkened answers shall be made on the AILET OMR sheet.
    • Doing so may lead to an error while checking the OMR sheet and thus, will miscalculate the result.
    • Furthermore, indicating any other mark or symbol or word on the OMR response sheet will result in disqualification

    The candidate is allowed to carry only the following things to the examination centre.

    AILET Answer Key 2024: Reporting time

    The reporting time for AILET exam is at least one hour before the commencement of the examination. All candidates are expected to report at 10 AM while the last reporting time is 11:15 AM. After the last reporting time, under any circumstance, no candidate will be allowed inside the examination hall.
