The All India Law Entrance Test, abbreviated as AILET, is a popular law entrance examination that is conducted by the National Law University, Delhi (NLU Delhi) . Unlike the other National Law Universities (NLUs) , NLU Delhi does not consider the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) for its law admissions and AILET is used only for admission to this institute. AILET 2020 will now be conducted on September 26, 2020, as a computer-based test.
The exam of AILET was earlier supposed to be conducted in the Remotely-Proctored Test (RBT) mode on August 18, 2020. However, the dates were pushed ahead due to the COVID-19 outbreak. Many other law exams in India are postponed or cancelled because of the coronavirus outbreak in the country. Not only this, but the application process of AILET 2020 has also been extended. Candidates had to submit their AILET 2020 forms till August 10, 2020.
A very important aspect of AILET 2020 is that NLU Delhi will enable the window for changing the exam city of AILET 2020 as well. All applicants were initially able to change their AILET 2020 exam city from June 24 to June 30, 2020. This decision of allowing the change in exam city of the entrance exam has been taken after NLU Delhi received requests from a large number of applicants due to the COVID-19 lockdown across the country. However, it is expected that the window will be opened once again as the exam will be conducted in test centres now.
