The Abdul Kalam Technical University organised a meeting of all nodal officers and in charge of the UPSEE examinations on April 12. The meeting presided over by VC Vinay Pathak, was organised on 12th April at the Tilak Hall of the university.
The objective of the meeting was to carrying out a demo of new experiments which were being introduced at the UPSEE examination slated for April 17. The Biometric machine was also tested at the meeting. Earlier APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) decided to introduce digital photography and use biometric attendance for the state entrance examination (UPSEE).
Those who participated in the meeting were explained as to how the presence of the candidates had to be registered. Digital photographs of candidates appearing for the examinations will also be taken at the UPSEE.
The nodal charges were also explained on how they should open the packets and the how the OMR sheets needed to be sealed. UPSEE coordinator Kailash Narayan said that all packets would be sent by post and representatives of the Postal department explained how the papers would be distributed and collected.
The entrance examination for degree level engineering institutions and other professional colleges has been assigned to AKTU, Lucknow by Govt. of Uttar Pradesh. Further, the Govt. of Uttar Pradesh, Technical Education Department, has consented for the constitution of Central Admission Board (CAB) under the Chairmanship of the Vice Chancellor, AKTU Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow to supervise and control the State Entrance Examination herein after referred as UPSEE-2016 being conducted by Uttar Pradesh Technical University, Lucknow.
VC Vinay Pathak said that they would be making use of Information Technology for the examinations and that two WhatsApp groups had been formed through which monitoring would be carried out.
