The Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU) is developing a software to keep a check on the fake teachers in the colleges affiliated to it. This is one of the major decisions taken at the 28th executive council meeting of the Abdul Kalam Technical University which was held at its Tilak Hall on Monday.
ViceChancellor Vinay Kumar Pathak, Principal Secretary Mukul Singhal, Special Secretary OP Dwivedi, registrar KK Chowdhary, Finance Officer Manu Prakash and other members were part of the meeting. According to reports, the executive council wanted a software to check fake teachers in colleges affiliated to it. To implement this, the PAN numbers of all teachers will be taken and they will also be made to fill a form.
It said that all the information related to the teachers would be available on the AKTU website. Among the other major decisions were the creation of a Students’ Welfare Fund, preparation of a data base of the alumni, appointment of a consultant for the creation of an Integrated Skill Development University, carrying out of a student exchange programme in the Noida Design Institute which will also carry out international collaborations.
The members also gave their advise for starting the Centre of Advanced Studies in the new building of the University at Lucknow.
