Aligarh Muslim University (AMU) conducts Competitive Entrance Exam for the admission to B.Tech programme. Here is the detailed information about the selection procedure and counselling process.
Selection Procedure: -
- The selection will be recommended strictly on the basis of merit of eligible candidates determined by the rank obtained in the entrance examination.
Counselling :-
- The counselling round of AMU is for those who will secure a place in the merit list.
- You must be present physically for it.
- You will be called in the order of their rank and will be allotted seat as per their choice, for the course.
- Verification of documents will also be done in the counselling round.
Documents Required:
The following certificates/documents are to be checked in ORIGINAL:
a) Mark-Sheet/Grade-Sheet of qualifying examination with requisite percentage of marks.
b) High School / Secondary School Mark-Sheet / Certificate or its equivalent in support of date of birth.
c) Migration / Transfer Certificate from the Institution last attended (only for candidates not enrolled at A.M.U.).
d) Character Certificate from the Head of the Institution last attended (only for candidates not enrolled at A.M.U.).
e) Oath Commissioner’s Affidavit on a plain paper – one on behalf of the candidate and another on behalf of parents / guardians of the candidate regarding Anti Ragging measures.
f) Name Removal Certificate from the competent authority (only for candidates enrolled at A.M.U.)
g) Documents in support of claim of the candidate for admission under Special Category.
h) Notary Public Affidavit with regard to Intervening Period. (only for Mahir-e-Tib & Mahir-e-Jarahat courses pertaining to the Faculty of Unani Medicine).
i) No Objection Certificate/Leave Sanction Order from the employer to pursue studies for the whole duration of the Course (for working candidates only).
Documents of the candidate to be retained at the Verification Counter:
a) Original Mark-sheet/Grade-Sheet of qualifying examination.
b) Original Name Removal Certificate from the competent authority (for candidates enrolled at A.M.U.)
c) Original Transfer / Migration Certificate and Character Certificate (for candidates not enrolled at A.M.U.)
d) Two legible self attested copies of Mark-sheet of the qualifying examination. The name of the course and Roll
Number of the candidate should be mentioned clearly on each copy.
NOTE :
The documents submitted by the candidates from (b) to (d) may please be enclosed with the Admission Forms immediately after verification of the original documents.
