Directorate of Accounts – Government of Goa has announced the results of a ccountant recruitment exam on August 21, 2018. More than 10,000 candidates appeared for the recruitment exam competing for 80 posts. The results turned out to be a shock for the state government as well as the candidates. No candidate has cleared the recruitment test and secured eligibility for the appointment of the accountant. Surprisingly, no candidate has secured the minimum qualifying or passing mark in the recruitment test. The exam was conducted on January 01, 2018.
An official of Directorate of Accounts confirmed that the recruitment exam was not overly difficult. The difficulty level of the exam was at par with the other recruitment exams conducted by the state government. However, no candidate cleared the recruitment test.

The state government allowed candidates with Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com) or Bachelor’s degree in Arts (B.A) with Economics to apply for the recruitment exam. The candidates who had been eagerly waiting for the recruitment notification applied for the test.
Directorate of Accounts will have to re-advertise the posts and conduct the recruitment exam again. The official notification and exam date will be released soon and the candidates can check the same in all the leading newspapers in the state as well as the official website of the exam authority.
