Allahabad University (AU) will conduct the final examinations of undergraduate courses from March 7, 2017, onwards. The examinations will be carried out at all the constituent colleges of Allahabad University. The varsity has already begun the preparations for the examinations. The announcement that was given in advance would benefit the students to prepare for exams in an efficient manner.

Prof HS Upadhyay, Controller of Examinations, AU revealed that the examinations would be conducted in all the three departments of the varsity which include arts, science and commerce, in two shifts. The first shift of the examination will commence from 7:00 AM and go on till 10:00 AM whereas the second shift will take place from 2:30 PM onwards. The examinations will continue for 48 days.
He clarified that the varsity remains closed on weekends. However, the exams will be conducted on Saturdays. The schedule of the examination will be uploaded on the official website of Allahabad University in the next 48 hours.

He further added that this year, the examination schedule would also witness the festival of Holi. The examination will not take place two days before and after the festival.
HS Upadhyay also mentioned that the semester exams for postgraduate courses would commence from November 28, 2016, and continue until December 20, 2016. For this purpose, each department has scheduled the examination of PG courses according to their conveyance. The entire conduct of the examination will be managed by the departments. For the first time, Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) has been instructed in Allahabad University for PG courses.
