The process of online medical and AYUSH counselling will be implemented for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) post graduate 2017 starting February.
Allocation of Seats & Counselling to go Online in Uttar Pradesh

The counselling process for the various undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses under medical and AYUSH in Uttar Pradesh will now be conducted in an online mode. The decision was taken on Wednesday, 9th November 2016. The process of online medical and AYUSH counselling will be implemented for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) post graduate 2017 starting February.

In order to ensure that the process works in an efficient and helpful way, the state unit of the NIC ie the National Informatics Center is working towards the development of a special software that will be transparent and user-friendly.

General Process of Online Counselling:

1. Registration, submission of choices, view indicative seat allotment, modify and lock

2. First round of seat allotment

If the seat is not allotted, then:

Look at MCC website for round II allotment

If seat is allotted, then:

Report to the allotted institute and complete basic admission formalities and give willingness as follows:

  • Willingness for upgradation into the 2nd round of allotment: YES/NO
  • Willingness for participation in the 3rd round of allotment: YES/NO

Candidates who have given willingness as YES for upgradation in 2nd round, shall wait for the second round.

3. Second round of allotment

If seat is not allotted, then:

Look at MCC website for round III for filling up fresh choices for seat allotment in third round

If seat is allotted, then:

Report to the allotted institute, complete admission formalities and give willingness for participation in 3rd round: Yes/No

4. Candidates who have not been allotted any seat in either 1st or 2nd round of allotment and candidates who have given the willingness to participate in 3rd round of allotment as YES either in 1st or 2nd round:

  • Display of newly added/vacant seats & also of the various anticipated vacancies (seats likely available after the conversion of vacant seats in category / subcategory and upgradation of previously allotted seats with newly offered seats)
  • Earlier choices submitted by the candidate will be treated null and void
  • Fresh choice submission for seat allotment in 3rd round is mandatory
  • Exercise fresh choices, view, modify & lock choices

5. Third Round of Allotment

If seat is not allotted, then:

You cannot apply anymore.

If seat is allotted, then:

Report to the allotted institute and complete admission formalities.
