BR Ambedkar University this year has received around 26,777 applications for its various undergraduate course, which is three times higher than the previous year with an increase of 9,778 applications.
The admission process has ended earlier this week. The University had started its new campus at Karampura with 200 seats but it has received 10,954 applications- an increase of 173 percent from last year.
While the Kashmere Gate Campus has 245 seats but the university got 15,823 applications.
The university's postgraduate courses have a total of 480 seats and it received 7,885 which is an increase of 5,687 from the last year.
BR Ambedkar University established by Delhi Government is 2008 has total 1800 seats. The University has this year waived fees for the reserved category students like Scheduled caste and Scheduled tribes and persons with the disability for its UG courses.
Every year students from all over the country come throng into the University for admission into various UG, PG and Doctoral programmes. This year the admission process for the undergraduate course had started in on 9th May and the last date was 24th June for nine different departments.
