Amity University and ILBS Sign MoU

Amity University has signed a MoU with Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences (ILBS) in an attempt to encourage joint assistance in clinical, academic and research initiatives. The MoU was signed on Monday, July 5 at Amity University campus.

Dr. B L Arya, Registrar of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh and Dr. Nirupma Trehanpati, Additional Professor, Department of Molecular and Cellular Medicine, ILBS signed the MoU. The event took place in the presence of Associate Professor, Dept. of Research, ILBS, Dr. Gayatri Ramakrishna and Dr. W Selvamurthy, President, Amity Science Technology and Innovation Foundation. Other Senior Officials of Amity also attended the ceremony.

Under the MoU, both the institutes are entitled to strategic tie-up in research and knowledge-sharing associated with Biomedical Sciences.

Talking about the new alliance, Dr. W Selvamurthy said that Amity and ILBS have a lot in common as both the Institutions have the similar goals at the global level.

Promotions of collaborative activities such as clinical, scientific and research projects will be more effectively done under the MoU, Selvamurthy added.

The collaboration will assist both the institutes in organizing Scientific Workshops, Conferences and Work Meetings at various levels to enhance the education provided by the institutes.

In his address speech, Dr. Selvamurthy also highlighted the achievements of Amity University. He said that Amity has been successful in making a global presence and is counted amongst the top Universities across the globe. It now has 12 abroad campuses and 8 universities. He also shed light on the R&D initiatives started by the University.
