ITDC (Indian Tourism Development Corporation) that works under the aegis of the Ministry of Tourism has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Amity University , located in Gurugram – Haryana. The purpose of MoU between Amity University and ITDC is to offer 6-month certificate courses and diploma courses in hospitality trades . Amity University will offer new courses with the help of Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management .
The Certificate and Diploma courses in Hospitality Trades include –
- Tourism and Travel Management
- Front Office Operations
- Food and Beverage Service
- Bakery
- Food Production
The MoU was signed in the presence of ITDC Chairperson & Managing Director and Pro-Vice Chancellor of Amity University. Other senior officials of ITDC and Amity University were also present on the occasion.

Chairperson and Managing Director of ITDC, Mr. Ravneet Kaur revealed that ITDC has been playing a dominant role in developing the Tourism sector in India . Tourism and Hospitality are the two significant segments that play a crucial role in progressive and nation-development.
Ashok Institute of Hospitality and Tourism Management, which assists Amity University in running certificate and diploma courses, is one of the premier hospitality training institutes in the country and Public Sector Undertaking (PSU).
