Andhra Pradesh Government and Chief Minister Mr. Chandra Babu Naidu’s vision to turn capital of AP – Amaravati initiative an education hub has been receiving wide appreciation from parents, students and teaching fraternity. Already, the state government established Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and SRM Campuses in Amaravati. Now, the state government has granted permission to set up Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetam campus in Amaravati. For this purpose, the state government has allocated 150 acres of land in Amaravati.
Recently, the officials of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetam met CM of Andhra Pradesh and explained that they had prepared the master plan for the construction of the institute. The officials made a presentation on the design of buildings and others.
On February 07, 2018, Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh has laid the foundation stone to Amrita Vidyapeetam campus, Amaravati. The first phase construction work will begin as per the schedule. CM of Andhra Pradesh suggested authorities that the campus should have all the world-class facilities and it should compete with the other institute campuses at Amaravati. He assured maximum support from the state government.

The state government is also planning to set up international universities in Amaravati. For this purpose, the state government signed MoU with different international universities across the globe. Initially, these international institutes will offer or launch different programmes/ courses in state universities. The state government is taking steps to improve the quality of education in higher learning institutes across the state.
Apart from providing quality education, the state government is also taking steps to provide maximum employment to graduates through Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC).
