Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister urged the students to come up with innovative ideas in different fields for their own prosperity and for the benefit of the society.

Speaking at the 2nd convocation ceremony of IIITs of Edupulapaya, N Chandrababu Naidu, the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh stressed upon the fact that students should come up with exciting and innovative ideas that can be put into practice for the benefir of the society as well as the development of an individual.

While stating examples, he said that the TDP-led government has been providing internet connectivity for just INR 149 to all the household. He also disclosed that best of facilities will be provided to students so that they excel in their respective fields and achieve their goal in life.

He also presented his views on the fact that there is absolutely no short cut to success and advised them to work extremely hard in order to achieve their goals in life. Additionally, he urged the students to broaden their mental horizon and think for a border perspective of society.

On the occasion, Naidu also awarded gold medals to six toppers from the two IIITs of the state. Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Human Resources Minister said that the government has also established two more IIITs in the state. These IIITs are located at Srikakulam and Ongole. Each IIIT will have an intake of 1,000 students each. However, in future, the state government plans to increase the intake of the students from present 1000 to 2000 students. Due to some financial constraints, the number has been tagged at 1000 only.

IIITs are a premier group of institutes of higher education in the country. They are focused on information technology education. These institutions are established, funded as well as managed by the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
