Andhra Pradesh: B.Ed Second Phase Seat Allotment from Sept. 30

The Department of Higher Education, Andhra Pradesh announced that the second phase seat allotment for B.Ed course would commence from September 30, 2016 . The counselling is being carried out to fill the vacant seats in various B.Ed colleges across the state. The counselling will take place at Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati and Acharya Nagarjuna University (Centre – A & B), Guntur.

The candidates who attended the first phase of counselling and paid the fee need not attend for the second phase of counselling. These candidates can give web options from home or internet cafe by logging into the official website of EDCET. The candidates who wish to change their college have to attend the counselling.

This year, around 9,500 students took AP EDCET examination for the admission to B.Ed course. Currently, around 20,000 seats are vacant across various colleges of Andhra Pradesh. Recently, the government has granted approval for 149 new B.Ed colleges. However, it is not possible for the colleges to fill all the vacant seats as the number of students who took the exam is less.

The counselling will be held from 9.00 AM to 5.00 PM. The counselling will conclude on October 1, 2016.
