Andhra University has announced Andhra Pradesh EDCET 2017 notification on February 18, 2017. Andhra University is the exam conducting authority for EDCET 2017 examination, and EDCET 2017 will be conducted in an online mode for the first time. EDCET 2017 is conducted for filling B.Ed seats in various colleges across Andhra Pradesh.

Eligibility: -
- The applicants who will choose ‘Mathematics’ as a methodology in B.Ed must have Mathematics as one of the subjects of study in B.A or B.Sc. BCA candidates can also apply for B.Ed (Mathematics).
- The candidates applying for 'Physical Sciences’ as the methodology in B.Ed must have Physics as one of the subjects of study in B.Sc. BCA candidates can also apply for B.Ed (Physics).
- The candidates applying for ‘Biological Sciences' as the methodology in B.Ed must have Botany and Zoology at UG level. Candidates who have completed B.Sc (Home Science) can also apply for B.Ed (Biological Sciences).
- The candidates applying for ‘Social Studies' as the methodology in B.Ed must have completed B.A/ BBM/ B.Com

Examination Fee: -
- For General Category candidates, exam fee is Rs. 600
- Rs. 400 is the examination fee for SC/ST categories.
- The application fee can be paid online.

A meeting was held with the conveners of all CETs to decide whether to hold online CETs or not on February 18, 2017. In the meeting, it has been decided that all CETs will take place in the online mode. However, some of the officials raised objections in this regard.
