  • Latest Update at 11 PM: All schools government and private to remain open, as no official statement regarding Andhra Pradesh school holiday 8 August 2024 has been announced.
  • Latest Update at 7:10 PM: The government has not yet announced any official statement regarding the Andhra Pradesh School Holiday 8 August 2024 due to rain. Areas affected by floods have declared school holidays for private schools only.
  • The state has been experiencing heavy rainfall since last night, and all districts have been declared a Yellow Alert for the rest of the week until August 10, 2024.
  • The government has not issued any official statement regarding the Andhra Pradesh school holiday 8 August 2024 yet. However, if the rain persists, it is most likely that schools will be declared as holidays.
  • Four districts,  NTR, Krishna, Palnadu and Guntur have been declared flood alert due to the water level rising in the Krishna river. Prakasam Barrage in Vijayawada is receiving heavy inflow of Krishana water
  • The Baptala district is also under alert to evacuate in case of emergency due to floods.
  • Villages Pesarlanka, Aravinda Varadhi and Chilumurulanka along with six other villages in Kollur Mandal are also under alert to experience flood and are instructed to be vacated.
