Andhra University, Visakhapatnam, has introduced two new Master of Business Administration (MBA) courses. The MBA in Hospital Administration course will be offered by the university from 2021 while the MBA in Business Analytics course will be available from AY 2022-23.
Apart from these the university has also introduced several postgraduate courses for medical aspirants. The university will offer Post Graduate Diploma (PGD) in several streams including Emergency Medicine Technology, Critical Care Technology and Gastroenterology Technology. All of the said courses will be available from the 2021 academic year itself.
As per a report published by TOI, the new MBA HA and PGD courses of Andhra University have been offered in collaboration with Bollineni Medskills. All of the theory and practical classes for the courses will be offered at the Bollineni Medskills, KIMS hospital campus located in Visakhapatnam.
Candidates interested in the MBA Hospital Management and MBA in Business Analytics courses must have completed graduation in any stream as a minimum requirement. For the various 1-year PGD courses, it will be mandatory to have any of the MBBS / BDS / BPharma / BSc / BSc Nursing / BAMS / BHMS degrees.
The fee for the MBA course has been set as INR 45,000 while the PGD course fee will be INR 50,000. The application form to apply for these courses will be available from www.audoa.in starting September 1.
The Academic Senate of Andhra University approved the merger of the Department of Human Resource Management and the Department of Commerce and Management Studies of the university. The decision was taken in a meeting held on August 25. The Senate has also decided to increase the number of MSc Botany seats at the university from 44 to 88. The number of seats in the integrated BTech CSE course has also been doubled to 240 from 120.
