As per PTI feed, all the Directors of the IITs held a discussion at IIT Kanpur in the first week of December 2016 and were very enthusiastic in this regard. They have jointly agreed that organising a separate stand-alone festival is not feasible, but have decided that it can be taken up as a pilot project and proposed a collaborated IIT tech fest on a rotation basis. Currently, each IIT organises its own tech fest.
