The Engineering College of Acharya Nagarjuna University organized ANUSHODHANA-2K16 a two days national level Science expo at college premises on 18-March-2016. The expo was inaugurated by B. Narayana Murthy, Associate director, DRDO.
Addressing the students he said that, “It is very much essential for engineering students to develop a practical approach to learning. Science expos like this will give new ideas and creative talent among the students."
Later he visited the science exhibits displayed by various students. Around 240 students from 60 engineering colleges in and around Vijayawada and Guntur displayed their exhibits and showcase their scientific knowledge. Various competitions were conducted to the students as a part of ANUSHODHANA-2K16.
The major competitions were;
- Brain Teaser
- Talent Expo
- Project Expo
- Technical Hunt
- Treasure Hunt and many more.
Students participated enthusiastically and showcased their skills. Among all the competitions Brain Teaser, a technical quiz was the major highlight as the questions challenged the analytical thinking of the students. Around 12 teams contested in the quiz and the students of Vignan University bagged the first place and KLU University bagged the second place.
Winners were awarded certificates and a memento at Prize distribution ceremony. Around 120 students have won the prizes in various competitions.
The second day of the expo continued with paper presentations and technical sessions.
