Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education has declared that IPE (Intermediate) marks will not be considered for admissions to any professional courses. The ranks received by the candidates on the entrance exams will only be counted. The education board released an official statement on May 11, 2022, that Intermediate (Class 12) marks will hold no weightage in the determination of the candidates' AP EAPCET (EAMCET) 2022 ranks.
Due to the ongoing pandemic, Class 11 exams and Class 12 exams were not conducted in the academic year 2020-2021. Candidates were passed with the minimum passing marks in the first year of intermediate level. The Chairman of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education stated to consider 25% weightage of the intermediate marks and 75% of the AP EAPCET (EAMCET) marks. However, the Andhra Pradesh Government declared that 100% weightage will be given to AP EAPCET (EAMCET) 2022 marks only.
