The Andhra Pradesh EDCET - 2016 counselling will commence from 27-July-2016 . EDCET is an entrance examination conducted by Sri Venkateswara University for the admission into 2 years Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) course in various B.Ed colleges of Andhra Pradesh. The EDCET – 2016 examination was held on 23-May-2016. This year, a total number of 9,561 attended the examination. The counselling includes verification of certificates, web options and seat allotment.

Details of EDCET - 2016 Counselling:-
- The verification of certificates will be held on 27 th and 28-July-2016 across various helpline centres of Andhra Pradesh.
- The web options process will take place on 28 th and 29-July-2016 . The seats will be allotted on 31-July-2016.
- The classes for the first year students will commence from 1-August-2016 .

The candidates can verify their certificates at the respective regional helpline centres. The fee structure for various colleges will be published within a couple of days. This year, EDCET received a poor response in various districts of Andhra Pradesh. A total number of 380 students appeared for the examination. There are 40 B.Ed colleges in Prakasam district which consist of 4,000 seats. The same scenario repeated in Krishna and Guntur districts.
