The counselling for AP Integrated Common Entrance Test (ICET) is scheduled to commence from 25-July-2016 . ICET is an entrance test conducted by Andhra Pradesh for the admission into MBA/MCA courses at various institutes. The ICET examination was held in the third week of May. Recently, the government has confirmed the fee structure for MBA/MCA courses. There isn’t much hike in the fee.

The details of the counselling are given below:-
- The verification of certificates will commence on 25-July-2016 and continues till 29-July-2016.
- The process of choosing web options will take place from 28-July-2016 to 30-July-2016.
- The seats will be allotted on 2-August-2016.
The counselling will be conducted across 22 helpline centres of Andhra Pradesh. The colleges which are offering MBA/MCA courses in East and West Godavari districts were affiliated to Andhra University till last academic year. This year, all these colleges are affiliated to Adikavi Nannaya University . However, most of the parents and students are aspiring to study in national level institutions like IIM's. The reason is most of the colleges in AP lack proper facilities. There are lots of demand for MBA/MCA seats in deemed universities.
The changing opinions among parents and students also affected the engineering admissions. Only 63% of engineering seats have been filled in Andhra Pradesh where deemed universities recorded 100 percent admissions.
