Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education (APSCHE) has assigned the responsibility of conducting AP RCET 2020 (Research Common Entrance Test) to Andhra University. This is for the third time that Andhra Pradesh is conducting a common entrance test for admission to M.Phil and PhD courses. Candidates who qualify the entrance test will be eligible for admission to research courses in all the universities across the state.
The entrance test is being conducted to fill M.Phil and PhD seats in various universities across the state. Andhra University will conduct AP RCET 2020 in 68 subjects.

AP RCET Eligibility Criteria 2020
- Aspiring candidates with the zeal to pursue research must note that Master’s degree is the minimum qualification to register for AP RCET 2020. The applicants must have at least 55% of marks in PG to be eligible for the entrance test.
- Candidates with a professional degree that is equivalent to Master’s degree are also eligible to appear for AP RCET 2020.

AP RCET Exam Pattern 2020
- AP RCET 2020 is a computer-based exam (online exam).
- AP RCET is conducted for 180 marks.
- The exam is divided into Part – A and Part –B
- Part – A of the RCET 2020 exam will be conducted for 90 marks and the topics covered will include ‘Teaching and Research Aptitude’.
- Part – B of the RCET 2020 exam will be conducted for 90 marks and it will cover the specific subject opted by the candidates.
- Each question carries one mark, while there is a negative mark of 1/6 for each wrong answer.\

- Visit the official website of APSCHE - sche.ap.gov.in
- On the Home Page, you will see a tab named AP-RCET 2020. Click on the link
- You will be directed to a new page
- Fill in the details asked on the page like the Your Phone Number and Date of Birth
- The AP RCET 2020 Hall Ticket will be displayed on the page.
- Download and take a printout of the Hall Ticket, as you will need to take it with you to the exam centre.

AP RCET/ APRCET 2020 results will be announced soon. Candidates can check the results of AP RCET 2020 directly from the link mentioned below. The candidates will have to enter the hall ticket number of AP RCET to check the results.
AP RCET Selection Process 2020
- Candidates who clear the entrance test will be called for Viva-Voce/ interview by the concerned university and department.
- The interview is conducted for 20 marks.
- The final selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s performance in the entrance test and interview.
