Aravind Menon the final year student of chemical engineering at IIT Bombay has topped the CAT 2017 . CAT exam is a gateway to the premier management institutions in the country. More than 2 lakh students sit for this test to get admission into any of the Top- B schools in India . However, this 21-year-old has other plans even when he can get admission into any IIM of his choice.
As per the sources, Aravind wants to continue with his job at Optiver in Amsterdam for two years before heading for an MBA degree . The Dutch company Optiver recruited him directly from IIT Bombay . He plans to make a career in financial management.

He mentioned that he cracked the CAT exam without seeking any help from outside i.e. coaching and crash courses for the same. He pointed the importance of previous year’s question papers and mock tests . As they are of great help to enhance one's knowledge and helps in understanding the dynamics of CAT exam pattern .
Menon also stated that applicants should work on English proficiency and understand the concepts of logical reasoning . As these two factors will improve your efficiency and accuracy in the exam. As per him working on logical reasoning helps you answer the questions faster on the exam day.

Menon even pointed out that students should answer only those questions in CAT exam which they are sure of as one can get negative marks and lose time on the exam. As per Menon he only answered 18 questions in the exam.
