The University grants commission has granted Autonomous status to Narasaraopet Engineering College . On this occasion, the college management conducted a press meet on 2-April-2016. College chairman Mittupalli Chakravarthi presided the meet.
He said, “The College has been given autonomous status by UGC. It is the first engineering college in Guntur district. The college has been consistently working hard in improving academics. The college has excellent placement percentage. A total number of 452 students got placed in the campus placements which were conducted in the academic year 2015-2016. Students have participated in various competitions and brought laurels to the college. Now the college has the autonomy to conduct examinations, preparation of question papers, valuation of answer scripts and declaring results. The college can also frame its own academic syllabus. The college has been organizing skills development program for the students in collaboration with Andhra Pradesh skills Development Corporation for the past 4 years”.
He also mentioned that the college is going to introduce Bio-Metric attendance system for the students. The college has received appreciation all over the town. College management appreciated the faculty for their sincere and dedicated hard work. The press meet was attended by the College Principal, correspondent and faculty members.
