The Tribal Welfare Law College has been approved by the BCI. The law college is situated in Telangana and has been granted by the BCI now.
The Bar Council of India (BCI) has approved the Tribal Welfare Law College in Telangana as a recognised law institute in India . A total of 60 seats have been sanctioned by the BCI for the college for its first year. Tribal Welfare Law College will start taking admissions from the academic session of 2021-22.
The tribal welfare ministry had issued a press release on Sunday, January 24, 2021, in which it was revealed that the now approved college will offer a five year integrated law course as an undergraduate programme in law . Students who complete their class 12 (10+2 level) or its equivalent from a recognised board of education will be eligible to apply for admission to the course. The Tribal Welfare Law College will start its admission process in the second phase of the ongoing law counselling.
According to the press release, 39 out of the total 60 seats will be reserved for tribals, 7 will be reserved for backwards classes, and 6 will be reserved for the category of scheduled castes. Two seats each will be reserved for upper-caste candidates, sportspersons, and NCC while one seat each will be reserved for differently-abled students and children of ex-servicemen.

Satyavathi Rathod, the tribal welfare minister, spoke on the matter after the BCI's approval and stated that opening more such courses and educational institutions in the state of Telangana is being discussed. She said that it is expected that the Centre will sanction a college for Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) which will offer integrated B.Ed courses and another college for physical education in the state.
