Earlier, Bar Council of India or BCI had announced that All India Bar Examination X or AIBE X would take place on February 26, 2017. The council also announced that the online registrations for AIBE X would open from January 6, 2017. However, the date of the examination might be postponed as the application process for the examination has not commenced.
AIBE IX examination took place about ten months ago, and BCI has not taken a call over starting the process for AIBE X. The aspirants are eagerly waiting for the notification, and there isn't any official announcement from BCI regarding the notification.

AIBE is an examination that is carried out by BCI every year to test the competencies of advocates to practice law in India. Usually, the application process for AIBE examination commences in the month of November. However, the notification for AIBE X has been delayed by two months already, and any further delay will push the announced examination date, i.e., February 26, 2017. Usually, the exam is conducted in the month of March as per previous trend.

Earlier, BCI announced that the notification for AIBE X would be issued on January 4, 2017, and it has been delayed. As of now, there is no clarity on when the examination is going to take place. There isn't any official announcement from BCI.
The qualification required to take AIBE X examination is LL.B degree, and the names of the applicants must be listed with either of the state bar councils.
