The Chancellor of Nalanda Open University has directed the state B.Ed colleges to regulate their fee structures according to the recently passed decision which has been taken by the committee headed by him. The committee was supposed to research on the expense of a college in hosting a B.Ed course, in order to make new reforms.
Under the regulation of Chancellor of Nalanda Open University, a committee had been formed last year to decide upon the fee structure of the B.Ed course in the private, non-granted colleges of the city and the state. The committee has come up with the decision that the colleges will be able to take a maximum tuition fee of Rs. 95000. The committee also directed that the colleges with strength, of more than 200 pupils will have to bear an expense of Rs. 1 crore. Also, the college can charge not more than 50000 at the time of admission; however, the Rs. 5000 caution money has not been included in the sum of Rs 50000.
