Bengal JEE Main 2020 Topper, Sreemanti Dey, appealed the state board to change the timings for the engineering entrance examination. The entrance exam is scheduled to be held on February 2nd, 2020, the same day when Physics Olympiad is scheduled.
As per Bengal topper Sreemanti, it is understandable that the state board cannot change the day of the exam which has been already announced. However, it would have been better if the board could change the timing of the exam, or conduct the exam in two shifts.

The Physics Olympiad is scheduled to be held on February 2, from 9 AM- 12 PM. In context to this, Sreemanti has requested West Bengal Joint Entrance Examination (WBJEE) to conduct the examination 11 AM- 2 PM as the exam timings.
However, the West Bengal Examination Joint Examination Exam Board (WBJEEB) denied changing the exam schedule for WBJEE. As per Malayendu Saha, the chairman of WBJEE, around 90,000 students have registered for WBJEE 2020 exam. So, it is not justified to change the timing of the exam at this last moment.
