Keeping up pace with changing times of the digital age, the Bihar Government, in collaboration with Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) has signed a MoU to make one crore youth from Bihar IT/ Computer literate in the next five years. MCKL holds the record for training about 1 crore people in Information Technology (MS-CIT) course in Maharashtra. in Bihar, MCKL will provide the State Certificate course in Information Technology (BS-CIT). After successful completion of the training, students will get a certificate under the banner of Bihar State Certificate Course in Information Technology (BS-CIT).

The MoU will enable the youth to be trained to improve their soft skills and take a holistic approach to the learning of English language through BS-CIT. Under the soft skill training, students will get training on different aspects like:
- Improving communication skills
- Projecting the correct body language
- Increasing self-confidence
- Time management
- Understanding consumer orientation
- Wearing a positive attitude
While elaborating on the training programme, the CEO of MKCL, Vivek Sawant said that Maharashtra Knowledge Corporation Limited (MKCL) had applied for the tender in Bihar and has now acquired it. The Chief Minister of Bihar, Nitish Kumar had taken a keen interest in the training programme of MKCL. As per MKCL, every student enrolled for the programme will have to learn so that they can get their certification and enrich their knowledge.

Talking about the uniqueness of the programme, Sawant mentioned that the chance of a student excelling was 500 times more than usual. He emphasized that in order to pass this certification course, each student will have to solve challenges at least 500 times, thereby ensuring their success.
MKCL was set up for the creation of a new paradigm in education through the merging of IT in learning, teaching, and educational management. IT was also seen as a tool to bring about effective socio-economic transformation as well.
MKCL has multiple centers across the country as mentioned below and hopes to carry out similar activities in all states for the enhancement and reach of IT programmes.
