The 31st successful convocation ceremony was held at the Birla Institute of Management Technology. 429 degree with awards and gold medals in different fields were awarded. Female Students dominate the gold medal awardee list.
With continuous cultivation of knowledge and innovation at Birla Institute of Management Technology or BIMTech , the prestigious institute held its 31st Concovation where it awarded 429 Post Graduate Diploma in Management degrees in the specialisations of Core PGDM, PGDM in International Business, PGDM in Insurance and PGDM in Retail Programmes. Five PhDs, one Fellow Program in Management and one Executive Fellow Program in Management degree were also awarded on the 31st convocation day of Birla Institute of Management Technology.
Jayashree Mohta, Chairperson of Birla Institute of Management Technology, encouraged the students to use their knowledge to engage in the meaningful societal roles and achieve success in the corporate industry. She also motivated the students to work for the betterment of others.
Chancellor of Gokhale Institute of Politics and Economics, Pune, Rajiv Kumar was also present in the convocation ceremony. Mr. Kumar has worked with many government and corporate projects and also in academics. He urged the students who are planning to go out of the country to contribute to the greatness of the country.
Credo of BIMTECH, in his note on ‘Excellence with Values’ reflected the same as said by Rajiv Kumar. He urges the students not to forget their social and cultural ethics of humbleness and requested to always run by the values the institute has inculcated within them.
Rajiv Kumar awarded 4 girls with gold medals who have done exceedingly well in their academics. Gaurvi Agarwal (Core PGDM), Akshita Agarwal (PGDM in IB), Deepanshi Arora (PGDM in IBM) and Adyasha Das (PGDM in RM) were awarded the gold medals for extraordinary performance in their respective specialisations.
The specialisation - wise gold medals were awarded to Gaurvi Agarwal, Kiran B Krishnan, Akshita Agarwal and Parul Yadav for specialisations in Marketing, Operations, Finance, and Human Resource respectively.
Dr. C.B. Gupta & Yashoda Jaju Memorial Gold Medals were awarded to two students of the Institute for their overall performance. The medals were received by Saptarshi Bagchi and Akshita Agarwal.

Award for Best Academic Performance within the female students was awarded to Gaurvi Agarwal and Akshita Agarwal. For research works, Dr. Nidhi Sharma Sahore was awarded for Best Thesis.
