BITSAT 20 May 2024 Question Paper Analysis: Day 1 and Slot 1 of BITSAT Session 1 2024 commenced today, May 20, 2024, at 9 AM in an online computer-based test mode. It is a three-hour paper consisting of four sections and six subjects, of which the candidates can opt for only one subject between mathematics and biology. The complete subject-wise analysis consisting of difficulty level, topics with high weightage, and expected good attempts is provided here. It is likely that a similar difficulty level will be followed for the rest of the shifts.

The opinions of the students on the slot 2 test are updated here:
- Compared to the morning shift, the paper was found to be slightly easier but there were not any major changes in the difficulty level.
- Physics was again the easiest section, followed by Chemistry, then Mathematics.
- Mathematics was again the lengthiest section while Chemistry was the least time-taking section.
- Physics had direct NCERT, formula-based questions but Chemistry had more concept-based questions. A thorough study of topics was required to answer many questions in the Chemistry subject.
- Like the first slot, Mathematics had a good number of doable questions as well but still, many calculations were lengthy.

The opinions of the students on the slot 1 test are updated here:- As per the preliminary reviews received from the students, it can be concluded that BITSAT Slot 1 20 May 2024 examination was of 'Moderate to Tough' difficulty level.
- Most of the students found Mathematics to be the toughest and the lengthiest.
- Chemistry was also above-moderate but it was not as lengthy and time-consuming as that of Mathematics.
- The Physics section was majorly formula-based so the students found it to be slightly easier among the three core subjects.
- For the PCB students, Biology was moderate and compared to its counterpart subject of Mathematics, it was neither so tough nor so lengthy.
- Biology subject tested the concept clarity of the students. Most of the questions were mainly concept-based, followed by application-based questions.
- The non-core subjects of English Proficiency and Logical Reasoning were both rated as 'Easy to Moderate' but Logical Reasoning was more time-consuming. Few questions in it were also stated to be tough.
