BML Munjal University to Collaborates with Best Legal Mind: Announces International Advisory Board

In an attempt to collaborate with some of the best legal minds in the world, BML Munjal University (BMU), a Hero initiative, today announces an International Advisory Board. As part of its commitment to bringing international best practices to India, the School of Law has developed this program. With this initiative, BMU's motto, 'From Here to The World,' takes on a new international dimension. BMU's board members will guide and assist the institution in providing the best international education possible.

A diverse group of legal academics from multiple countries serve on the board, including legal academics from Taiwan, the United States of America, South Korea, Britain, Europe, Canada, Brazil, and Australia. In addition to this advisory council, the school already has another with leading senior advocates, retired Supreme Court justices, and founders of the top Indian law firms on board.

A number of institutions are represented on the board, including Academia Sinica Taiwan, University of Melbourne, University College London, Oxford, Humboldt University Berlin, National Law School Bangalore, Yonsei University Seoul, Osgoode Hall, Yale, and Universidade Federal Do Rio De Janeiro. Several of the academics on the board are interested in Indian law.

There are several Indo-European collaborations headed by Prof. Tarunabh Khaitan, Prof. Philipp Dann (Oxford) and Prof. Farrah Ahmed (Melbourne) who have significantly contributed to Indian Constitutional Law, Prof. Dev Ganjee, a world-renowned expert on Intellectual Property Law, and Dr. Rohit De, a prominent legal historian who also writes on India. Indian Law Review is a prestigious journal with some board members as founding editors.

BMU aims to provide higher education of the highest international standards and in keeping with this goal, the International Advisory Board was established to bring together the expertise of international scholars with our existing advisory board of leading legal professionals- said Professor Pritam Baruah, Dean, School of Law, BMU.
