Bachelor of Physical Education (B PEd) programme in Lucknow University for academic session 2015-16 is heading for a zero session. While Lucknow University is yet to prepare its syllabus for the Bachelor of Physical Education (B.PEd) according to the new two year module.
National Council for Teachers' Education (NCTE) had earlier de-recognised the course following several shortcomings in the University course .The B.PEd course remained suspended in the university for the past two academic sessions after NCTE de-recognised the course following several shortcomings.
Around 300 students applied for the admission in B.PEd for which admission process started on August 3.
Earlier NCTE had directed LU to admit fresh students only from academic session 2016-17 but when university authorities objected, NCTE granted them permission to admit students.
The university registrar, on September 10, issued a notice closing down the admission process and leaving admissions mid-way.
Already seven affiliated colleges which run BPEd course completed their admission process in first week of August itself. The University banned the B PEd admissions in the colleges after university failed to prepare a curriculum according to the new two-year module.
