The comment made by the Former Chairman of Economic Advisory Council will make you believe what you actually know. C Rangarajan recently attended the 6th convocation of ICFAI Foundation for higher education . Here he made a statement that the higher education in India is at “crossroads” and needs radical changes.
He said that the following aspects of the country can only grow or develop if there is a strong foundation of education.
- Industrial
- Agricultural
- Scientific
C Rangarajan is the chancellor of ICFAI University and during the convocation, he said that there are a lot of talented students in our country but they cannot bloom with a mediocre education system.
He also mentioned that the need to change or modernise the syllabus of higher education is very important. If it is not done we are going to miss out on so much talent.
The former chairman of Hindustan Unilever Limited, S M Datta in his address also mentioned the same points or one can say he continued the theme. He advised the students on the importance of strategies to overcome major obstacles and coping up with limitations during their career.
The convocation ended on a bright note as 1,438 students including 516 girls received degrees at the convocation.
