Candidates Appearing for both CLAT 2021 and JEE Main 2021 Required to Submit Date Change Request to Avoid Clash

A number of candidates are taking both CLAT 2021 and JEE Main 2021 with the dates of the exams clashing. Such aspirants have been asked to submit a request to get their JEE Main 2021 exam date changed.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to change the exam date of JEE Main 2021 for students who are also appearing for the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) . JEE Main 2021 and CLAT 2021 are both scheduled for July 23, 2021. The students who are appearing for both CLAT and JEE Main exams are required to visit the official website of the Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) to request a change in their JEE Main 2021 exam date.

The window to request for a change in the JEE Main exam dates is open from July 15 to July 16, 2021 (until 11:49 pm). Candidates will have to log in to their applicant portal on the official website of CLAT to submit their requests.

According to the official notification released by the CLAT Consortium, the NTA is likely to agree to change the date of JEE Main scheduled on July 23, 2021, for the students who are also appearing for CLAT 2021. Further information will be intimated to the students soon after.

How to Apply for a Change in JEE Main 2021 Exam Date

Candidates can go through the points given below to know how to apply for a change in their JEE Main 2021 exam date. By following these steps, they can request the conducting body to alter their exam date.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the Consortium of NLUs - consortiumofnlus.ac.in

Step 2: Log into your CLAT account by using your Username and Password.

Step 3: Click on the option 'Apply for JEE Date Change'.

Step 4: Provide all the details asked such as your name, your father's/ mother's name, and your JEE roll number.

Step 5: Submit the request.

If the candidates face any issue, they can send an email to clat@consortiumofnlus.ac.in to seek help. They can also call on the helpline number - 080-47162020 between 10:00 am to 05:00 pm on all working days.

The April session of JEE Main 2021 will be held from July 20-25, 2021. Around 6.80 lacs candidates have registered to appear for the JEE Main April session which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. CLAT 2021 will be held on July 23, 2021, in offline mode from 2 to 4 pm.
