CAT 2022 Preparation Tips: With the examination day approaching closer, it is time for the candidates to gear up their preparation. While studying for the exam, almost all students notice the patterns or techniques that are most suitable for them, and any effective preparation strategy is almost always subjective. Tip #1: Attempt Strategy

Solve mock tests to know which sections are your strongest. For example, if you believe your VA to be stronger than RC, just notice which section takes more time for you to solve during the mocks, and if you currently begin with VA now, try solving some mock tests by beginning with the RC section. Notice which takes time and thus decide your section-wise sequence to attempt the paper. To improve further, even decide the type of questions you have the most grip over and integrate them to finalize your attempt strategy.

Tip #2: Sort the Questions

As per your strengths, preparations, mock analysis, etc. sort the questions as per their difficulty level. Assign the time to each question as per their difficulty level. For example, easy questions can take 30 seconds, medium questions up to 60 seconds, and difficult ones for 90 seconds. Use this in your attempt strategy (solve all the easy questions first, followed by the increasing difficulty level) for a better score instead of going sequentially and giving the same time for all questions.

Even when you know the question and the methodology to solve it, you end up getting the wrong answer because of those reoccurring and persistent mistakes. Tip #4: Read and Solve Daily

Persistency is the key. Read daily and solve at least 4 sets of LRDi every day. This will ensure your grey areas are covered and do not lose touch. Keep solving your mocks and improve your score.

Tip #5: Leave Your Stress Aside

Stress is detrimental. If you solve your mocks with the fear of a Make or Break situation on the final day, you are most likely to perform less than your best. Solve every mock with a clear intention of doing your best than doing better than something or without the stress of your final exam. Extra tip, also leave your social media aside.
