CAT 2023 Admit Card: Mock test likely to be available in November
For each year, the conducting IIM releases the official mock tests, thus providing candidates with a way to enhance their preparation. The mock tests are helpful in knowing the expected difficulty level of the paper, the expected number of questions in each section, and also to get familiar with the CBT mode of the test. As per the usual timings followed each year, CAT 2023 mock test is likely to be released in the first week of November 2023.

Many candidates confuse the total percentile (normalized) score to be an average of the subject-wise scores. However, the scores for each subject and the total score are normalized separately as per the normalization process and hence, the total score will not be an average of the subject-wise percentiles.

CAT 2023 Admit Card: Scores to be normalized
As CAT 2023 is conducted in three shifts with different question papers, to ensure fairness and equity in the comparison of candidates' performances, the scores of candidates will be subjected to a process of Normalisation. The Normalisation process will equalize the differences in score distributions across the shifts. Instead of the actual scores, the normalized scores will be converted into percentiles for the purpose of shortlisting.

No, it is not mandatory for the candidates to have a colour print of the admit card. While a colour print is permissible, candidates can also carry a black-and-white print of the admit card to the exam centre.

If the User ID or password is forgotten, the candidate can follow through the given steps to retrieve the same:
Step 1: Visit the official website, access the candidate login window, and click on the "Forgot User ID/Password" link.
Step 2: A new window will open wherein the candidate's registered email ID will have to be provided.
Step 3: Input the email and the captcha code, then click on "Get User ID/ password".

A unique Reference Number for each candidate will be provided on CAT admit card. The reference number will be used for identifying the examination hall of the candidate only. The session-wise reporting times are as follows:
- Session 1: 7 AM to 8:15 AM

Yes, the examination centre will provide the sheets for rough work. The examinees will not be allowed to carry any additional papers than their CAT admit card 2023 and valid ID proof. The candidate will also be provided with a transparent ballpoint pen for the exam. At the end of the exam, the rough work sheets will have to be submitted at the exam centre only.

CAT 2023 Admit Card: Preferred exam city not allotted
CAT 2023 will be conducted at over 400 examination centres in 300 cities across India. During registration, the candidate had to choose six cities in order of their preference. In the rare cases if the candidate is not allotted an exam centre within the preferred city, then he/she will be allotted the nearest city to their residential place.

Yes, there are section-wise time slots in the paper. The total CAT 2023 paper is conducted for 120 minutes which is divided into 3 slots of 40 minutes as follows:
- Slot 1: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension
- Slot 2: Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning
- Slot 3: Quantitative Ability

CAT 2023 Admit Card: Discrepancies in details
If there are any mismatched or incorrect details on the admit card with respect to the application form, then such candidates shall contact the CAT exam helpdesk to get the required details corrected. It must be done before the examination day as any relaxation due to such discrepancies will not be provided and the candidate may thus be debarred from giving the examination.

CAT 2023 Admit Card: Photograph to be affixed on admit card
Once the admit card is printed, the candidates shall affix their coloured photograph (same as the one uploaded in the application form) in the given space. Along with it, the candidate's signature and other details asked shall also be duly filled in before the exam day.

Entry inside the examination centre/hall will not be permitted based on the soft copy of the admit card. It is mandatory for the candidates to print their admit card out before carrying it to the examination centre.

CAT 2023 Admit Card: Documents required at exam centre
Aside from CAT admit card, the candidates are also required to carry their Valid Photo ID Proof such as Aadhar Card, PAN Card, Driving License, Passport, etc. in original to be allowed inside the examination centre. A photocopy of the ID proof shall also be carried alongside. Also, the candidates shall carry a copy of their passport photograph (same as uploaded in the application form) to affix on the attendance sheet.
