Vikas Kumar Agrawal, the secretary at the CBSE’s Bhopal office, reaffirmed the board's commitment to keeping the current examination format and internal assessment processes. He urged students, parents, and schools to rely on credible sources for accurate information. Agrawal recommended checking the official CBSE website to avoid spreading misinformation that could cause unnecessary stress.
Key Changes in CBSE Board Exam 2025
Here are the major changes for CBSE 2025 board examinations for class 10th and 12th-The syllabus for Classes 10 and 12 is reduced by up to 15% to reduce academic stress.
Internal assessments will now comprise 40% of the final grade, with 60% from board exams.
About 50% of questions will focus on practical knowledge and real-world applications, in line with NEP 2020.
Digital evaluation for answer sheets will continue in select subjects to enhance transparency and grading efficiency.
Open-book exams will be introduced in some subjects (e.g., English Literature, Social Science) to assess analytical skills.
A single-term board exam structure will be used for 2025, with a two-term format returning in the 2025-2026 academic year.
