CBSE Class 12 Chemistry exam was conducted on March 07, 2020. For the exam, a total of 6,44,552 students registered and the exam was conducted at a total of 4,774 centres. After the exam, the students shared their reviews about the question paper and experts analysed the difficulty level of the paper. Students said that the paper was of average level of difficulty and all of the questions in the paper were from the latest CBSE sample paper.
All of the theory questions were from NCERt books, however, some of the conceptual and application-based questions in the paper were tricky and time-consuming.
As per the expert's analysis of the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry paper, the level of the difficulty was moderate to difficult. The section-wise analysis of the paper is given below:
Section A: The section consisted of direct and concept based questions. The assertion related questions were a bit tricky.
Section B: Section B was quite easy for the students.
Section C: The questions were direct and concept based, however, the mathematical calculations were a bit lengthy.
Section D: This section was easier as compared to other sections. All of the questions were from NCERT books and CBSE syllabus.

Some of the students were of the opinion that the difficulty level of the question paper was average. After the difficult Physics exam, Chemistry exam turned out to be a sign of relief for many students. Some students added that the CBSE Class 12 Chemistry paper was straightforward and there will be no difficulty in passing the exam.

Usually, the numerical-type questions and organic chemistry are the sections that students find difficult to score. On the other hand, subject teachers said that scoring good marks in the exam will not be difficult for the students. However, average students might have found the questions as difficult.
CBSE Students are worried that HOTS (High Order Thinking Skills) questions were tricky and will bring down their performance in the exam. However, teachers reported that most of the questions in the Chemistry paper were from the NCERT textbook , other than a few numerical questions. Some of the numerical questions required more than one formulae that confused students.

In all, CBSE Class 12 Chemistry question paper 2019 was easy and straight forward. Students with good preparation are expecting better marks in the exam.
