CBSE Class 12 Board Exams 2020 is underway. On March 03, 2020, CBSE conducted the History exam for Class 12 students. The detailed exam analysis and question paper review for CBSE Class 12th History has been updated below. The History paper for class 12 will be conducted for a total of 80 marks and will consist of 5 major sections including:
Section A for one marks each: Question 1 to 20
Section B for 3 marks each: Question 20 to 24
Section C for 8 marks each: Question 25 to 27
Section D for 6 marks each: Question 28 to 30
Section D for 6 marks: Question no. 31

CBSE Class 12th History Exam Analysis 2020
As per the students, the History paper for Class 12 was quite easy and only a few of the questions were difficult.
While some of the questions were difficult and time-consuming but there were only 2 to 4 difficult questions.
Many of the questions were from the CBSE sample papers.
All of the questions were from the History syllabus as prescribed by CBSE.
Almost 4 to 5 questions in the paper were repeated from the previous year's question papers.
As per the expert analysis of the Class 12 History paper analysis, the CBSE class 12 History paper was easy to moderate and the students can expect to score an average of 55 to 65 marks out of 80 marks.

After writing the exam, students felt that the paper was easy and balanced. Most students felt happy, as they are expecting A1 or A2 in the History exam. Most of the average students felt that the paper was student-friendly with direct questions, and they expressed their confidence that securing A1 or A2 will be easy.

Giving her views on the nature of questions, a student from a private CBSE school mentioned that the question paper was fantastic. Most of the questions were source based. Similarly, the map questions were simple and easy. Short and long answer questions were student-friendly, and every student can answer all the questions.

Even though the paper was easy, students were confused or felt difficult about a few questions. More details are elaborated below: -
- All the two-mark questions in Part – A were easy except one question about limitation laws of 1859.
- All the four-mark questions in Part – B were scoring. Students did not face any difficulty in answering questions in this section.
- Even though all the eight-mark questions in Part – C were easy, students faced a bit of difficulty in managing time. Mostly, the questions on Mughal nobles, Buddhism and communal politics were time-consuming.
- All the source-based questions in Part – D was easy to answer.
- In Part – E, map identification questions were easy except one question related to Buddhist Identification Site.
To sum up, CBSE Class 12 History Exam Paper 2018 was direct a mix of previous year question papers.
