The Central Board of Secondary Education is expected to release the examination schedule of Class 10 & Class 12 board exams 2018 in January. The officials of CBSE recently confirmed that the board exams for the year 2018 would begin in March .
After last year's evaluation instances, it is expected that CBSE will leave more time for evaluation. Hence, the candidates are even more curious regarding the exam dates. According to sources, CBSE will release the schedule after the announcement of election dates by Election Commission for four states including Karnataka, Nagaland, Tripura and Meghalaya. The board will publish the exam schedule on its official website.

During the previous academic session, the examination dates of Class 12 students were deferred due to elections in a few states.
Uttar Pradesh Board announced the exam dates for Class 12 a few days back, followed by Tamil Nadu Board and Goa Board . Further, the Intermediate Board of Andhra Pradesh has confirmed the schedule for Class 12 (Intermediate) exams.

Apart from preparing for the board exams, students from different states are also keen to know the schedule as soon as possible so that they can also plan their preparation strategy for national level entrance exams like IIT-JEE exam , National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and state level engineering entrance exams, alongside.
It is also important that the students opt for the right course at undergraduate level if they are not appearing for engineering or medical entrance exams basis their percentage in class 12 board exams.
