For 17 October 2023, here are the CBSE Daily Practice Questions for Class 12 Physics 2024 syllabus:
Question 1: Multiple-Choice Question
A charged particle is moving in a cyclotron, what effect on the radius of the path of this charged particle will occur when the frequency of the radio frequency field is doubled?
- It will also be doubled.
- It will be halved.
- It will be increased by four times.
- It will remain unchanged.
Question 2: Very Short Answer Question
Does the charge given to a metallic sphere depend on whether it is hollow or solid? Give a reason for your answer.
Question 3: Short Answer Question
How does the Ampere-Maxwell law explain the flow of current through a capacitor when it is being charged by a battery? Write the expression for the displacement current in terms of the rate of change of electric flux.
Question 4: Long Answer Question
Write the two processes that take place in the formation of a p-n junction. Explain with the help of a diagram, the formation of depletion region and barrier potential in a p-n junction.
Question 5: Very-Long Question
Mrs. Rashmi Singh broke her reading glasses. When she went to the shopkeeper to order new specs, he suggested that she should get spectacles with plastic lenses instead of glass lenses. On getting the new spectacles, she found that the new ones were thicker than the earlier ones, she asked this question to shopkeeper but he could not offer a satisfactory explanation for this. At home, Mrs. Singh raised the same question to her daughter Anuja who explained why plastic lenses were thicker.
