The Central Board of Secondary Education is inviting applications from the students of colleges and universities for Central Sector Scheme of Scholarships (CSSS) for the year 2016. The board also announced that the students who are applying for the first renewal of scholarships for the year 2015 and fresh scholarships for the year 2016 have to apply through National E-Scholarship Portal on or before September 30, 2016.

The students who want to avail the scholarships have to obtain a Aadhar number seeded with a bank account for uninterrupted disbursal of scholarship. The scholarship will be directly disbursed into students’ bank accounts.

The board also mentioned that no applications would be accepted after September 30, 2016. The students need to apply for CSSS as early a possible to avoid last minute rush.
