Finally, CBSE has announced the date for the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams that were postponed in Punjab on April 02, 2018, due to Bharath Bandh. These exams were expected to take place on April 10, 2018. However, another Bharath Bandh on April 10 forced the CBSE to postpone the date further. As per the official notification of CBSE, the postponed exams for Class 10 and Class 12 will be conducted on April 27, 2018.
On April 01, 2018, CBSE issued an official notice stating that Class 10 and Class 12 board exams in Punjab scheduled on April 02, 2018, are postponed due to Bharat Bandh . The board will announce the revised dates soon. CBSE Class 10 students had to take the Sanskrit exam on April 02, 2018, while Class 12 students were to appear for Hindi (elective) and Hindi (core) exam. The call for the national-wide strike has forced CBSE to cancel these exams in Punjab where the severity of strike will be high.

On April 01, Director General of School Education of Punjab sent a letter to CBSE stating that the exams scheduled to take place on April 02, 2018, in Punjab must be postponed due to law and order problems . There are high instances of untoward situations/ incidents and there is no other option except to postpone the exams, the letter stated. Responding to the letter with immediate effect, CBSE has postponed the exams.
Apart from CBSE board exams, all other exams scheduled for school students on April 02, 2018, have been cancelled. Schools and colleges will remain closed on April 02 due to the bandh.The new exam dates will be uploaded on the official website of CBSE shortly. Therefore, students need not panic or get nervous about the postponed exams.

On the other hand, CBSE also confirmed that Class 12 Hindi (elective) question paper has not be leaked . A fake question paper was circulated on social media two days before the exam.
