CBSE to Prohibit Late Entry into Exam Hall During Board Exams

CBSE Board Exams 2019 will be conducted in a strict manner. The board will not allow latecomers into the exam hall. CBSE is taking steps to ensure a transparent, error-free and fair conduct of exams.

CBSE to Prohibit Late Entry into Exam Hall During Board Exams

Students appearing for the CBSE Board Exams 2019 must note that they would be not allowed into the exam hall if they arrive late at the centre. Students must ensure that they start early to reach the exam centres at least half an hour before the stipulated time. So far, CBSE allowed students into the exam hall by 9:30 AM and the distribution of question papers took place at 10:15 AM.

Until CBSE Board Exams 2018, students were allowed into exam hall until 11:00 AM or emergency entry, i.e., up to 11:15 AM. From 2019, CBSE will completely restrict late entry or emergency entry. Hence, students must be present at the exam centre on time.

All the competitive and entrance exams follow the similar rule wherein students are not allowed into exam hall even if they were late by one minute.

CBSE has taken this decision to make sure that the board exams are conducted in a strict manner. Recently, Microsoft has come up with software that restricts CBSE question paper leak .

An official of CBSE revealed that the board would issue a circular to all the supervisors of exam centres directing them to follow the rule regarding restriction of late entry strictly. The exam centre supervisors will be held accountable for the strict implementation of the rule.

CBSE Board Exams 2019 will be conducted in the months of February/March 2019. The officials are making sure that there are no undesirable instances such as paper leak etc., across the country.
