CBSE schools in Lakshadweep and Kerala will be promoting talent, creativity, art and culture among students so that they can showcase their talent. As per the reports, the board is planning to introduce a robust system which will focus on academic as well as the all-round development of the students. The new plan will just not have academics as its center but will simultaneously lead to the holistic development of students.
Tarun Kumar, CBSE Regional Officer, Thiruvananthapuram, stated that co-curricular activities are very important along with the main syllabus as they complement each other. Keeping that in view, the CBSE has sent letters to around 1,350 CBSE affiliated schools in Kerala and Lakshadweep which come under the Thiruvananthapuram division of the education board.

The board has also asked the schools to start video channels or use a free video sharing app to provide a platform for students to showcase their talent. Some of the schools have already started video sharing websites, where students can upload their activities.
He also said that the board has prepared themes such as compassion, humanity, sharing, self-reliance etc. as topics for students which can foster human values in them. Students can perform various activities in the form of extempore, speech, a short film scripted by students, flash mob, dance- drama, shadow play or a cartoon strip.

As per the official, all such events should be organized in the school to elevate the self-confidence within students. Apart from that, he also clarified that no participation fees should be collected from them.
