CBSE Holds Meeting for Smooth Conduct of Class 10, 12 Board Exams 2019

CBSE Board held a meeting of all stakeholders with regard to board examinations of Class 10, 12, and discussed ways for the smooth conduct of exams. The meeting took place in Chandigarh and 150 CBSE School Principals, CBSE officials and others were present.

The Central Board of Secondary Education- CBSE conducted a meeting for all stakeholders for the smooth conduct of class 10th and 12th board examination. The meeting took place on 11th Feb 2019, and as many as 150 principals, centre superintendents, head of the examinations and various other officials participated in the meeting. The meeting was held in DPS Chandigarh as Reema Deewan Principal is the city coordinator of the CBSE class 10th and 12th board examination for the current academic session.

The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss ways for ensuring smooth conduct of board exams. The board has decided to not to allow more than 24 students in one class during the board exams. However, if there are an odd number of students, only in that case the number of students can be less. Also, students will be seated in three rows which will require more rooms for board exams.

CBSE officials in a webcast with school principals informed that it would prepare a list of students found spreading the rumour of paper leaks on the social media or indulge in any sort of unfair practice.

The webcast by CBSE was titled as - Preparedness for Examinations and the CBSE school principals were informed about the measures and norms they need to follow during the conduct of board exams.

Apart from this, even the invigilators will not be allowed to carry their cell phones inside the exam halls and the students will only carry their stationery inside the exam hall.

The board has also asked all the exam centres to sanitise the campus and not to allow any unauthorised person during board exams.

Reema Deewan City Coordinator said the meeting was an excellent initiative by the board to maintain the sanctity of the board exams. The main agenda of the meeting was to discuss the Dos and Dont’s of the examination. However, the board will organise a meeting soon to implement specific instructions.
