The result of UGC NET July 2016 is expected to be announced this week. This year the exam was conducted on 10th July all over the country in 83 subjects at 88 selected NET examination centres in different cities. However, the exam was held in Srinagar on 28th July.
Many aspirants from all over the country are anticipating their results.
The test is conducted twice every year to select candidates for the role of assistant professor/ lecturer and also to award Junior Research Fellowships (JRF).
The registrations for NET 2017 will start from 17th October. The next exam for Junior Research Fellowship and Assistant Professor is to be held on 22 January 2017.

The exam is divided into three papers to examine a candidate's abilities and talents:
Paper 1 will be held for a duration of 1 hour 15 minutes containing 60 questions with total 100 marks.
Paper 2 will he held for a duration of 1 hour 15 minutes and will comprise 50 questions with total 100 marks.
Paper 3 will be held for a duration of 2 and 30 minutes and will carry 75 questions with total 150 marks.
