NITI Aayog’s move to launch India Innovation Index comes from the central government’s motive to enhance the quality of education, research and innovation in higher learning institutes across the nation.
RUSA (Rashtriya Uchchtar Shiksha Abhiyan) will provide adequate support to state governments for enhancing quality research, incubation hubs and incubation centres. So far, the central government released Rs. 12.03 crore under RUSA for three states namely Tamil Nadu, Nagaland and Maharashtra.
